Hugging this character: Sure! Though you might offend his macho sensibilities
Kissing this character: If you're a pretty girl, sure
Flirting with this character: He can't flirt worth crap, but you can try?
Fighting with this character: That's alright, though he will likely storm off in a huff
Injuring this character: Let's talk first, but I'm certainly open to it.
Killing this character: No plz :<
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: That's fine, as long as it's brought up OOCly first
POWERS
Felyne Fluent: Felyne is the language of a species of sentient cats that are part of Monster Hunter and Metal Gear Solid canon. They assist the main character, Big Boss, to Isla del Monstruo in order to hunt monsters. In game, when Chico hears it from normal cats, it sounds just like his own human language in his head. But when he talks in it, he makes meow sounds. Yep. It's just a lot of meowing.
Phantom Pain: He can transform into an older version of himself. Think Jekyll and Hyde situation. He will be rougher, quieter (since half his face is now missing. Poor boy), and more of a vigilante type dispensing justice through murder. He is only as strong as a normal human, although will be very skilled in combat, marksmanship, and stealth. Nothing out of the ordinary for a professional soldier.
This power cannot be consciously activated. Chico will transform because of excessive stress, fear, or high levels of emotional distress. Neither version will be aware of the other.

〈 CHARACTER INFO 〉
CHARACTER NAME: Chico Libre
CHARACTER AGE: 13
SERIES: Metal Gear Solid
CHRONOLOGY: Between games Peace Walker and Ground Zeroes. Chico is off to rescue his teammate Paz from a Cuban prison camp, but gets caught himself and put in a cage. BASICALLY BEFORE THE REALLY BAD SHIT HAPPENS TO HIM bc no nononono
CLASS: Game mascot???
HOUSING: Random's good!
BACKGROUND: (cw: child abuse/sexual assault) LINK (MGS makes no gd sense as a game, so I am sorry for what you may read)
PERSONALITY: Chico is a boy stuck between a rock and a hard place trying to be a source of strength for his sister and his rebel teammates. He aspires to be a great soldier in the fight to overthrow Nicaragua's current despot regime. But in order to do so he must be an adult like his older sister and his father, both of whom have been the commanders of their rebel group. To him this means an outward show of machismo and the will to do what's necessary to reach their goal.
In this way, Chico acts like a stereotypical male: He tries to smoke cigars or cigarettes like Big Boss. Sometimes he complains about his sister's henpecking because she is a "woman," and who is a woman to say what he can and can't do? These crude traits are things he's picked up from the other men around him, which he then replicates in order to fit in. Chico says all the right things and his conviction sounds sincere when he talks about sacrifice and the cost of freedom for his people.
But on the cusp of thirteen, these words are, understandably, hollow. When he is kidnapped and tortured by a CIA mercenary outfit known as Peace Sentinel, he quickly coughs up the locations of his remaining teammates. He may have said he was prepared for pain and torture, as any soldier should be, but he is only a boy in a bad situation. He crumbles under adult pressure, as he does again when he is apprehended a second time in the Ground Zeroes game by the XOF unit. But when he is rescued by Big Boss for the first time, Chico is inspired to reinvent himself as hombre nuevo, a new man. It's here, within the safety of his comrades and Big Boss' mercenary base, that his true personality begins to shine through the macho charade.
As much as he wouldn't want to admit it, he is a very sensitive boy. He struggles between right and wrong, even amidst war. Often times when he has a fight with his sister, he wanders off into the forests of Costa Rica in order to be alone. Another example is when he learns that his resistance group is getting their funds from a drug trafficking organization. Chico tries to rationalize the need for money from where ever they can acquire it. But, ultimately, his moral compass sends him off to the processing plant to set it on fire, so that the drugs cannot hurt anymore people. In the same way his love for his friends sometimes forces him to hesitate in the heat of the moment, something a good soldier shouldn't do. When the girl he has a crush on, Paz, is suspected of being a double agent Chico hesitates to neutralize her when given a chance. And even later, he decides to try and save her from a prison camp in Cuba by himself when he catches wind that she might still be alive and held captive. His loyalty and love for people make his convictions strong, but also make him susceptible to compromise and manipulation.
And like any boy his age, Chico also has big dreams. After the resistance is over he wants to become a monster hunter and travel the world looking for UMAs, aka Unidentified Mysterious Animals (think Big Foot, Loch Ness, etc.). His passion and boyish enthusiasm for this idea is obvious. Chico rambles endlessly to anyone who will listen to all of the information he's gathered about these creatures (and that "anyone" is usually Big Boss). His fantastic ideas and conviction allows for no skepticism. He will stubbornly argue the logistics of, say, a pack of Plesiosauruses getting stuck in a lake after sea outlets dry up and trap them, creating the Loch Ness monster. He's got an answer for every contradiction, you better believe it.

Phantom Pain: There is unused concept art of Chico from The Phantom Pain game that takes place a good decade after the incidents of Ground Zeroes. They decided to scrap it and kill off Chico before the events of Phantom Pain; however, I want to make a power out of it.

LOGS POST (PROSE) SAMPLE: Is the light running? It is? Okay... [ Chico clears his throat nervously before facing the cameraman head on. ] For years, townspeople in the heart of Arkansas have been spooked and even attacked by a large ape-like creature said to live in these very swamps. Legends tells that he walks on two legs, just like a human. And he's said to be over seven feet tall! They call him the Legend of Boggy Creek. Follow me, Chico Libre, on my adventures to find this UMA and turn this myth into fact.
[ Once the light turns off, Chico stands back with a furtive hand waving at his sweating face. Who knew the United States could get as humid as Costa Rica! It's nuts. One of the stage hands signals for him to resume and he snaps back into serious hunter mode. ]
As we travel through the twisted swamp lands and thick forest we have to remember to be careful. There's no telling what's under—Hey! [Suddenly he gets quiet, listening to the sounds of the forest and a strange grumbling.] You hear that? it sounds like a monster growling.
[But off camera, someone kindly points out that "It's the camp generator, Chico."]
Wait, are you sure? ["Yeah. It's cooling down the trailer."] Hijo de perra! C'mon, you messed me up, guys! Let's just start over with a new scene...
